Veils protect the sacred. Sacred men and women our language is veiled. We cover words in metaphors and mystery tied to our culture so those meant to be outside, remain there. Our bodies are veiled. We cover ourselves with cloth that's coded in our circles to mean something more, to say louder than words ever could. Shrouded in riddles, our lives add up not to be decoded but understood. Understood that for all it's worth, our worth remains because we are veiled.
